Terms of Service

Effective 7 September 2026. These terms govern your use of thecodeheist.com. By using the site or submitting an enquiry, you accept them.

Our services

TheCodeHeist provides website design and development, software development, mobile apps, and AI & automation services. The exact scope, deliverables, timeline, and price for any project are agreed with you before work begins.

Enquiries and bookings

Submitting an enquiry or consultation booking through this site does not create a binding contract. A project begins only once both parties agree on scope and price.

Payments

Payment terms are agreed on a per-project basis and communicated directly, outside of this website. This site does not currently process payments.

What we need from you

Projects depend on timely input. You agree to supply content, brand assets, access credentials and feedback within the timeframes we agree, and to confirm that anything you give us — text, images, logos, data — is yours to use or properly licensed. Delays in providing these move the delivery date accordingly.

Scope and revisions

Each project has an agreed scope, including how many rounds of revision are included. Work beyond that scope is quoted separately and started only once you approve it in writing. We will not quietly absorb extra work and invoice you for it afterwards.

Ownership

Once a project is completed and paid for in full, ownership of the delivered code and content transfers to you, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Until then it remains ours. We keep the right to reuse general techniques, components and know-how developed in the course of the work, and to show the finished result in our portfolio unless you ask us in writing not to.

Third-party services

Projects often rely on services we do not control — hosting, domains, payment gateways, fonts, APIs and similar. Their own terms and fees apply, and we are not responsible for their availability, pricing or changes.

Demo sites on this website

The demo sites under /demos are our own work, built to show what we deliver. The businesses shown in them are fictional and the contact details in them are not real. Nothing in them is an offer or a representation about an actual company.

Limitation of liability

We aim to deliver reliable, well-tested work, but we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of delivered software or websites, including lost profits or lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us for the project in question.

Ending a project

Either of us may end a project by giving written notice. If that happens, you pay for work completed up to that point and we hand over what has been paid for. See our refund policy for how money already paid is treated.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one on this page, with its effective date at the top. Changes do not apply retroactively to a project already agreed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising from them will be subject to the courts of India.
