Privacy Policy

Effective 7 September 2026. This policy applies to thecodeheist.com and to the enquiry, booking and consultation services offered through it.

Who we are

TheCodeHeist is a digital product studio that builds websites, software, mobile apps and automation for businesses. We decide how and why the information described below is handled, and we are responsible for looking after it. You can reach us at any time at info@thecodeheist.com.

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry or booking form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, project details, and (for consultations) an approximate budget range. We do not ask for payment or financial information through these forms.

Information entered before you submit

Our enquiry and booking forms save what you have typed as you move between steps — including your name and contact details — even if you do not finish and submit the form. We do this so we can follow up if you were part-way through contacting us. This information is treated exactly like a submitted enquiry, and you can ask us to delete it at any time using the contact details below.

Verification codes

To book a consultation we send a one-time verification code to your email address. We store these codes in an encrypted (hashed) form, along with the destination and time, purely to confirm the booking came from a real contact. Codes expire shortly after being issued.

How we use it

We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, discuss your project, and, if you agree, follow up with relevant updates. We do not sell your information to third parties.

Cookies

This site may use basic cookies or local storage for functionality (such as remembering form progress). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Who else can see it

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. It is handled by us and by the service providers that keep the site running — our web host, which stores the site and its database, and our email provider, which delivers enquiry notifications and verification codes. These providers process the information only to provide those services to us.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS. Verification codes are stored hashed rather than in readable form, database queries are parameterised against injection, and the admin area is password-protected with rate limiting and automatic session expiry. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the safeguarding of your information seriously and will tell you promptly if a breach affects you.

Data retention

We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain ordinary business records — typically no longer than three years after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or we are required to keep it for longer. Verification codes are deleted shortly after they expire.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it entirely. You can also withdraw consent for us to contact you. Email info@thecodeheist.com and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for making a request.

Children

This site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and move the effective date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.

Contact and complaints

Questions, requests and complaints about this policy all go to info@thecodeheist.com. We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and resolve within 30 days. This policy is governed by the laws of India.
