Refund Policy
Effective 7 September 2026. This policy sets out when we refund project fees and how to ask for one.
Launch offer projects
For ₹99 launch offer projects, the fee covers the design and build of a single-page starter website. If work has not yet started, you may request a full refund. Once design or development work has begun, the offer fee is non-refundable, as it reflects the time already committed.
Standard projects
For larger website, software, or mobile app projects, refund terms are agreed with you in writing before work begins, based on project milestones. Generally: deposits are non-refundable once work has started, and remaining payments are only due on delivery of agreed milestones.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel a project in progress, contact us as soon as possible. You will be billed only for work completed up to that point.
If we are the reason
If we fail to deliver what was agreed, or abandon a project, you get a full refund of anything paid for work not delivered. This applies regardless of the milestones above. We would rather refund you than argue about it.
What is not refundable
Money already spent on your behalf on third-party services — domains, hosting, paid fonts, stock licences, API credits — cannot be refunded once purchased, because we cannot recover it either. We will always tell you before spending anything on your behalf.
Requesting a refund
Email info@thecodeheist.com with your project details and what you would like refunded. We acknowledge within 2 business days and decide within 7 business days.
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds go back by the same method you paid, within 7–10 business days of approval. How quickly it then appears depends on your bank or card issuer, which is outside our control.
Disagreements
If you disagree with a refund decision, reply and tell us why — we will look at it again. Please raise it with us before starting a chargeback, so we have a chance to put it right. This policy is governed by the laws of India.
